Headshot of soprano and librettist Christina G. Adams in Chicago, Illinois. Voice Teacher. Opera, choral music, art song.

Vocalist and writer Christina G. Adams has been thinking about words for as long as she can remember. Her lifelong love of literature and poetry helped foster in her a deep love for American art song, opera, and choral music, where she has enjoyed a rich career as a performer and librettist. Her debut cantata, Becoming, with composer Hans Bridger Heruth is set for release by Centaur Records in autumn 2026. Becoming is a project of the American Prize winning Vox Nova Columbia chamber ensemble, with whom Christina has performed since 2021. Onstage, she appears regularly as a chorister and understudy at Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony Chorus. Adams holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from University of Colorado-Boulder, dual Bachelor’s degrees from University of Missouri in Music and English, and is the recipient of an Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions.
